Winter's bite

Brook tapped on the car window impaitently. God dammit, are we there yet? She thought as multi-colored cars passed by.

Evanlyn sat back in the car with her eyes closed while Kai drove on.I wonder if Kaitlyn will be there...if she is I might as well get some earplugs.She thought.

She tapped her foot on the ground. "Are we almost there?" She said, no sign of ergency in her voice.

She stretched her arms behind her head and yawned softly. Kai glanced sideways at her,"Tired?" He asked. She nodded,"A little." She said. Kai nodded,"Go ahead and get some sleep then, we still have awhile to go." She nodded and leaned her head on the window, closing her eyes.

Mistque felt squished in the small taxi cab. God...I hate Taxis. She thought, but she wouldn't dare say it in front of the Taxi cab driver.

Evanlyn opened her eyes an hour later and saw the snow falling more thickly on the ground. Kai saw her stirr,"We'll be there in a few minutes." He said. She nodded and closed her eyes again.

Mist looked outside to finally see the cabin. Thank god... She thought, she paid the taxi cab driver and headed out of the car, feeling a rush of cold wind. "I should've known it would have snowed." She said shivering.

Kai reached over and gently shook Evanlyn's arm,"We're here." He said, pulling the car up close to the cabin. Evanlyn blinked open her eyes then stretched and opened the car door, hopping out into the snow.

She shuffled to the cabin, her boots hitting the ground in a rythmatic sound. She heard a familiar voice and turned. "Evanlyn!" She said waving.

Evanlyn smiled and ran up to Mistque, hugging her,"Hey, I haven't seen you in so long!" She exclaimed.

She hugged her back, noticing Kai. "Who's this." She asked, letting go of Evanlyn.

Evanlyn stepped back and waved Kai forward,"This is my friend, Kai." She said. Kai nodded towards Mistque.

She smiled. "It's nice to meet you, Kai."

"Nice to meet you too." Kai said. Evanlyn smiled and turned towards the cabin,"Let's go in before we all freeze to death."

She laughed. "I agree." Her pace became faster as she hurried in.
